Regarded as Garth Brooks' signature song and his most recognized around the globe, "Friends in Low Places" has become a Country Music anthem that endures today everywhere from Country Radio to karaoke bars all over the world. Released in 1990, it reached #1 on the Country Billboard charts and was soon titled "Single of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music (ACM). It earned the #6 position on the CMT 100 Greatest Songs of Country Music list and the #1 spot on the network's 40 Greatest Drinking Songs of all time.

The album "No Fences" reached #1 on the Billboard Country Music chart (where it stayed for 23 weeks) and #3 on the Pop chart. With global sales of over 20 million copies, it would become Brooks' biggest-selling album. Since that time, it has been covered by numerous artists and appeared on 43 albums.
