If you like Cardi B, then this catalog is for you. It represents a group of songs released between 2016 and 2017 that are consistent revenue earners.
Although none of these songs are her mega-hits, they do generate a good revenue stream that is still declining on its way to flatline. 2020 saw the revenue start to really flatten out but it took another larger dip in Q4 2020. I would expect over the next 4 quarters that we will see a continued decline to where it should reach flatline.
Looking at the revenue by song, the top three songs represent 63% with the rest going from 8% on down. Normally a concentration of the top three songs at over 50% would be concerning, it is not so much because the whole top songs of the catalog are Carid B but the lower risk is offset with a higher risk that the main catalog is ONLY Cardi B.
Looking at the revenue by Type, we see no anomalies. All income providers look normal. The only interesting item is some new income streams from Facebook and Netflix.
This is a basic good money-making catalog from lower-tier songs of a top artist in Cardi B. The main issue to take into account is that it has not hit flatline, so there is more income degradation that will occur over the next four quarters at the least.
